Accelerating SDI Adoption Around the World

Data centers of today are a far cry from their predecessors, which were often less than agile. Cloud computing and the digitalization of business models call for a fast moving infrastructure that can be adapted to new requirements quickly and with minimal resources.

Intel is working extensively with the cloud ecosystem to drive innovation in cloud computing, enabling business to transition smoothly and incrementally from an existing data center infrastructure to an optimized cloud infrastructure based on increasingly intelligent and efficient SDI. Software Defined Infrastructure (SDI) is an approach in which applications, running on pooled compute, networking and storage resources, are optimally provisioned and dynamically managed via software intelligent resource orchestration to improve and maintain desired service levels.

In tandem, to drive and accelerate data center innovation Intel started Cloud Builders program. Intel Cloud Builders brings together industry leaders to develop, optimize, and accelerate deployments of cloud solutions for the modern data center. The collaborative Cloud Builders ecosystem provides reference architectures, solution briefs, and technical guidance to accelerate cloud deployments and drive data center innovation. Cloud Builders also delivers developer training and member matchmaking to drive customer POCs and trials accelerating solution deployment.
